Anita Cook, PH Revital ization Specialist, HUD Indianapolis, IN was a presenter in the Hope VI workshop hosted by The Gary Housing Authority.	Sherry Seiwert, Executive Director of the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA) was one the featured speakers. IHCDA staff also served as workshop facilitators.
The 2006 Housing Summit Conference attracted more 500 attendees from Lake, LaPorte and Porter Counties. Through conference sponsorship attendance scholarships were made available to individuals from local homeless shelters; public housing residents; People Living with HIV/AIDS, individuals living with physical disabilities and other special populations.
The 2006 Housing Summit Conference featured a total of 22 workshops and 10 roundtable discussions. Topics covered included: Housing Based Case Management; Tenants Rights; Transitional Housing for People Living With HIV/AIDS; and Housing Solutions for Ex-Offenders. There were also CEU credit courses offered for Social Workers as well as a professional certification track for Property Managers.
